Up all night with the cast of Vampire Diaries.
Those well acquainted with Serena and Little J may find this fact hard to believe: Vampire Diaries, The CW's budding show about bloodsuckers and the teen girls who love and / or get eaten by them, has double the number of Gossip Girl viewers.
What makes it such a hit? It could be the current cultural zeitgeist of Edward, Bella, Sookie, Bill, and immortal drama. It could be the lingering teen appeal of star Nina Dobrev (remember her from Degrassi?). Or maybe it's just damn fun and funny.
Luke Crisell - who calls the show "like Dawson's Creek with less talk and more action" - sat down with the cast of and asked them himself.

why are there so many boring people on nylon suddenly? What happened to the kills and maggie gyllenhaal etc. So sick of vampire anything....lets get some little known cool people on the covers (METRIC, MARION COTILLARD, HELENA BONHAM CARTER????)

The cover is way better than last month, anything is better than disney star Hilary Duff- she was too curved- Nylon is all about the sharp rugedy edges; nothing is mainstream but unique and original. Which is why we love them. I think the cover is almost near awesome however the pink 'nylon' kills it, it should have been a grey??

I love The Vampire Diaries! I was waiting anxiously to see who would be on the cover for March (I wasn't too into Hilduff's cover -- no offense -- and was a little sad that it was going to last two months on stands), and I am def not disappointed! Can't wait to go out and buy this to see the whole article :) Awesome!

You guys, did y'all know that twilight copied the vampire diaries? the vampire diaries book was written in the 90's. while twilight was written just a few years ago? so dont say that all this vampire crap is getting old. vampire diaries is a good show and good book. while the vampires are actually real in the show they don't sparkle, they cant go out in the sun, they have fangs, they have to be invited in to a house to go in. I just want to say, we all know the vampire trend isn't anything new. But Vampire Diaries, Twilight, True Blood, etc, is getting a little excessive and when there's too much of something people tend to get over it quickly (unless it's a bad romantic comedy, seriously i've seen enough of the same love story over and over). I like the pictures though and maybe the article will actually be an interesting read. I wish that Nylon would find more deserving artists to put on the cover though.

I found this to be a major letdown. Nylon, I still love you, but what makes me love you is the fact that you celebrate things that aren't as well known and you don't follow the mainstream crowd.
Maybe next month will be better?

vamps are sexy in their own right--when you throw in a paul wesley or a rob pat -ya know good looking boys--youre going to have a hit with teens, young adults, and older adults. it appeals to women (and men) of all ages. my mom and i talk about the vamp diaries and Ohhh what's going to happen. it's a great little show. i think there is some truth to what's being said about the covers being subpar to yesteryear but vamp diaries is a good (addictive) show and hopefully these young stars will go on to do bigger things.

Well I really dont think anyone should blast any series they havent watched or read. So I have watched the first series of VP... I'm with Ashley "Gag me" Its sooooooo weak. For 12-16year olds. A Lizzy Maguire effort I think. Thats old school weak. I am surprised Nylon has featured it as a cover story? Losing ye-re touch I fear:( Check out Misfits. A new British Program. Its gonna be cult status soon. Much like Skins, also an E4program.

I agree with Sof "There are so many other original people that could actually hold up the big, bold letters of your name!" that's pretty much the same I think . please! if you wanna sell and gonna use some comercial people you should go with Gaga but any other comercial stuff, you better put a picture of mickey mouse or sponge bob on your cover (wich I think would be the coolest cover ever!with your style!!!) 'cause I thought Nylon issues was very indie, isn't it?

What's up with Nylon going extremely mainstream on us recently? I mean, first it was the whole mess on how the Plastiscines are taking over the world (hate that band by the way. Why don't you do a feature on some worthwhile indie bands already?!)! Now their odd obsession with vampires..... and sorry, but some of these cover people have just been pathetic (Hilary Duff? Anna Paquin? Lindsay Lohan?). I definitely second Helena Bonham Carter by the way... Lets get some more Zooey Deschanels and Karen Os on the covers!

The show is very fun. IMO, TV version is better than the books.
First,I watched it because Ian too(luv him as Boone from Lost ).Later, it become one of my favorite show and I cant miss just an episode.
I'm totally surprising when I saw VD on Nylon. I hav no idea why Nylon put it on cover but I luv it.

Okay so I absolutely love The Vampire Diaries. It is extremely well written and the cast is amazing! There is nothing fake about it and for all of you who say it copies Twilight, you should know that the The Vampire Diaries book series was written in the 90's so please get your facts straight. Also, before you start hating on it just because everyone else loves it, you should actually watch the show. You may surprise yourself by liking it. I'm really glad that Nylon is finally showing the differences between Twilight and The Vampire Diaries because they truly are two different story lines. All of you who are hating on it because it is a "popular" CW television show need to stop. Just because you feel the need to be unique and different 24/7 doesn't mean you can complain about putting fabulous actors on the cover. It really is my favorite show and I highly suggest that you all watch it:)
