HOT! HOT! HEAT!
Another day, another runway in Rio de Janeiro!
Rio is full of gorgeous beaches, but the forests are a huge inspiration for Fashion Rio designers as well. Eucalyptus, Brazilian wood, golden grass, and straw provided the color palette for Melk Zda.
The designer says the Winter 2010 line was inspired by the world of “rustic carpentry”—wicker, antique doors and nails. An old carpenter shirt, deconstructed, was the basis for the stiff, voluminous overcoats on the runway.
Melk Zda’s introduction: “Welcome to my woodwork.”
