Forget photo shoots and deadlines—we’re just looking for our afternoon chocolate fix.
Squares from Ghirardelli and cookies from Gourmet Garage might do the trick, but none look as cool as the treats from Mary & Matt. The New York City-based design duo, which met in high school and have worked for Jack Spade, launched Chocolate Editions after realizing that a bar of chocolate is as much a pop culture icon as a can of Campbell’s soup.
The result is a collection of chocolate bars that look as good as they taste. Besides classic flavors, like dark, milk, and white chocolate, they’ve also got exotic flavors, like strawberry, tangerine, and a multi-colored Neapolitan bar. We doubt that you’ll actually want to share, but there are gift-ready sets like a chocolate pie chart and a couple’s set for those feeling particularly charitable. (We don’t blame you for keeping both bars for yourself.) Every bar has a specific inspiration, ranging from rugby shirts to Gene Davis paintings.
Consider it the fuel that keeps NYLON running.
