The fashion world doesn’t like to wait.
Forever 21 offers up Marc Jacobs inspired designs months before his latest collection hits stores.
Topshop channels Alexander Wang weeks before you’ll find his pieces on racks.
And, yes, even we are guilty of mixing up
our own Chanel-esque polish mere hours after the runway show.
Yet when it came to the second round of Six Scents, the collection of fragrances developed by designers, we were left in the lurch.
The release party came and went, but alas, no bottles of brilliantly scented perfumes. And unlike lipstick shades and shoes, you can’t mix Daisy with a spritz of Angel and claim it’s just like Henry Holland’s “Smell.”
But the wait is finally over: The six scents are available online and in stores. A portion of all proceeds goes to Pro-Natura, which supports environmental stability, but there’s nothing wrong in picking up a bottle of Philip Lim’s “Collage” or Richard Nicoll’s “Nicoll 17” as a reward for your patience.
