We don’t know how or when it happened, but sometime last year, the NYLON office was bombarded – emails, photos, comments, Twitters, all from a girl gang that called itself Waffles + Falafels.

They seemed to come from all over the country, and represent their allegiance with stickers, t-shirts, stencils, street art, and copious amounts of black eyeliner and neon pink lipstick.

Who were these girls?  Where did they come from?  How can they eat both waffles and falafels?  We hunted down one of their leaders, a sassy brunette who calls herself SIMP, to find out.

How many of there are you?  There’s a bunch of us now. Sky Ferreira, Icey Ana, Lovisa the Intern, Hood Charlotte, Hillary Bankz, Bonez the Conqueror, Tine Dream, Stevie Ryan, the list goes on and on. Waffles Girls don’t die, they multiply… like H1N1.

How did you come together?  We formed like Voltron! And I am the yellow lion foot.

Okay, so you’re not going to tell me…  For real though, we all do our own things- sing, design, act, write, eat, take photos, whatever- but we combine to make something bigger… just sadly not a giant killer robot.

Can you really choose between waffles and falafels?  That's a tough one. I'd have to say waffles only because the last time I had a falafel, I was so hung over, I chundered in a mall bathroom.

Ew.  What happens when you see a stranger in your clothes?  It’s dope. Like a McDonald’s high without the lows [that come afterwards]. It makes me want to karate kick something out of the air - for good, not evil, of course.

What songs are playing in your studio right now?  Gucci’s “My Kitchen”, Britney, old school Death From Above, Wocka Flocka Flame, Ccenturiess remixes. Oh and all the ridiculously amazing Sky Ferreira demos we’re not supposed to have (shhhh).

If you had to pick a syrup flavor from IHOP... Or invent a syrup flavor...  Grape soda flavored… with carbonation? Whattttttttt.

That would be amazing.  And finally: Who is the most underrated celebrity of our time?  Puppies dressed as cats. With Dina Lohan being a close second.
