I like her, and the shoot looks fantastic (outtakes, please?), but she comes off a little pretentious. That being said, I think she's a wonderful performer and I will be first in line to purchase TPR's debut.

she may be 'just a child', but as far as other children looking up to her..well, I don't think starring on a racy show such as gossip girl is a children's show, therefore she doesn't seem to be setting herself up as a children's role model.

I hope the rest of the band quits her, yes she has a good voice but she comes off awfully arrogant. Her tattoo has no meaning behind it, I'll bet she'll end up regretting it if she ever GROWS UP. The 16 year olds that looks up to her are just as bad as the ones who look up to Miley Cyrus. Her style and attitude does seem forced. Taylor tried out for the role of cherie currie in the upcoming "runaways' movie. She didn't get the part & now walks around in cherie's garter belt style { which cherie barely got away with back then}. She's also using old Joan jett qoutes about being 'all about rock n roll'. The difference is Joan jett {who was 15 when she formed the Runaways almost 35 yrs ago} is a REAL role model! Taylor just wants to act like she's ahead of the trend before the runaways movie comes out & every 16 year old wants to look or be like Joan Jett! Mark my words.

Taylor is adorable. She's a 16 year old girl people. When I was 16 I was still coming into my own, trying to figure out what the eff I was into/wanted to be. She's doing just that, in my opinion. Wow. Taylor may look great in the shoot (I'm sure the credit goes to a wonderful stylist and makeup artist) but she is so pretentious. Her holier than thou attitude is annoying and her attempt at embodying the rocker cool is just lame. She tries to act older than she is, but as soon as she opens her mouth, all that comes out is a mess of cliches from a bratty teenager. Please, don't put on the the nylon US cover.

I adore her! She is so beautiful and has a marvelous clothing style. I tried seeing her perform with her band when they were performing at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, but the tickets were sold out. I guess I'll try to see them next time they go on tour. I can't wait until then. I'm so excited for their album to come out!

To be honest, I don't have a problem with her but I will say that when she said TPR was pretty much her and followed at the end saying she plays a little guitar it sounded absolutely conceited and contradictory. To say that a band is pretty much you means there is no band. That is the first taste of Taylor Momsen that I happened to not like.

Wow I just read through many comments and I never saw so many judgmental comments in my life. As far as being "pretentious" no one considers that this girl, being in the industry at a young age, was forced to grow up faster than the typical teen who doesn't WORK or have a career at say 8 years old. Of course she's gonna "act" like a 20 something year old because as far as I'm concerned, she's farther along than maybe 90% of us will ever be at that age. Her taste is music/style is beyond her age....her opinion on boys is beyond those silly teen opinions...and she is very focused. She is a role model believe it or not for me and I'm older than her (20 years old).

Well it IS pretty much her band. Her music is awesome my sister who's the same age as her absolutely loves her & her character on GG. & so do i. I think she's very mature for her age plus she can dress how ever she wants it's a free country. just cause she does alt rock/grunge doesn't mean she can't wear Chanel & etc. She's being herself. my god just leave her alone! even if she comes off as 'bitchy' in an interview doesn't mean she's like that in real life.
