Layered wool and leather for a long and stylish wardrobe.
Two reasons for rescuing a stray dog instead of purchasing a purebred: It’s more humane, and frankly, it’s chicer (i.e. Rachel Bilson’s abundantly photographed Thurman Merman, or Siddi and Essa, the lucky Moroccan mutts who share a bed with Orlando Bloom, to name a few). Two reasons to check out the clothing label Erro’s debut spring summer line: The designer plans to donate a percentage of its proceeds to homeless pups and, yes, it’s very chic as well.
Having moved to the USA just four years ago, Swedish designer Anna Larson prefers expressing her nomad self rather than attempting to blend in. The name of her debut line, Erro, means “stray” or “wanderer” in Latin and somehow manages to literally translate into the visual appeal of the clothing.
Presented for the first time during S/S '10 Fashion Week, Larson’s line is mostly black and gray pieces, each with great layering potential. While this may sound like just another Mary-Kate inspired collection, the materials, as well as the impeccable detail in the crafting, eliminate any fears of sloppiness or grime. See the unbelievable crocheted leather jacket for visual evidence.
The Lookbook is fresh off the design studio, and the clothes are so new, they don’t hit stores until January. Keep your eyes peeled for it’s appearance in high-end boutiques (we’re already having visions of a Barneys Coop stampede). In the meantime, www.Petfinder.com anyone?
