Forget the rainbow connection - we've got a rainbow collection.
There might be plenty of songs about rainbows, but when it comes to clothing, we’ll take all the color we can get. Blame it on the unspoken New York City dress code, but breaking from our usual black is about as stylistically rebellious as donning it head-to-toe.
Which makes Sunshine and Shadow the bad boy of the cool girl fashion world. For spring ’10, there’s no shortage of ROY G BIV. Tanks go cobalt, skirts go marigold, and dresses go teal. Designer Lily Raskind, who’s set shop in Brooklyn, doesn’t shy away from prints, either. This spring she’s added floral patterns and geometric shapes to her wearable pieces.
Of course, pairing a blood orange frock with a hot pink bow and neon yellow knee-highs is advised only if you’d like to channel your inner-Rainbow Brite. But adding some punch to your closet is something even the biggest black-addict can get into.
