ACCESS HOLLYWOOD

ACCESS HOLLYWOOD

Dress like a starlet. Spend like a student.

It's hard to completely ignore the celebrity influence on fashion, and even harder to find a balance between your own style and the subtle touches you've secretly learned from Mary Kate, Sienna, or Scarlett.

Even then, there's another big hurdle - budget.  Starlets might be able to afford $2000 bags (or, more likely, to get them as gifts from hungry fashion publicists) but even the most die-hard shopper has her limits in the real world.

That makes yet another reason to visit Target.  Besides their designer collections (Anna Sui now, Rodarte soon), they've collaborated with Shop Intuition founder Jaye Hersch on a line of accessories.  Inspired by the celebs who shop in his store every day, the collection boasts giant shades, mixed metal necklaces, and several handbags with faux leather so convincing, it might need its own acting school.

But like celebrities themselves, some of this stuff is the real deal, and some is a Disney Channel wannabe version.  That's why we've picked our six favorite items below.  All retail under $25 and most are available online only - so you don't have to dodge the paparazzi at Target just to buy it.  Or, you know, fight with your friends over the same pair of shades.

I saw the displays for this the other day while buying popcorn&eyeliner...absolutely retarded. Honestly, who needs a Target display as a guide to style. Eh, no.

none of these accessories are worth mentioning. They're unique and to trendy. Did I mention they're ugly. (especially that snake skin excuse for a purse. blahhhggh)
