DO OR DI

Our favorite plastic camera gets a world tour - and lots of groupies.

New York might play host to the world’s fastest runners and craziest hot dog eaters, but if you wanted to see the biggest collection of Diana cameras on the planet, your only option was booking a flight out of the city.

That’s about to change this month, with the arrival of the Diana World Tour. The multi-city journey celebrates the beloved plastic camera in all of its incarnations, with a pop-up shop at Lomography’s headquarters.

Diana owners can stop by free weekly workshops, which range from learning the basics to mastering light painting. Diana lovers can check out Diana Vignette, an exhibit with 10 photos and short stories from the likes of Amber Tamblyn, Elijah Wood, and Nick Rhodes. And Diana fanatics can feast their eyes on the Detrich collection, which includes originals from the ‘60s and the knock-offs they’ve inspired.

After stops in Hong Kong, Lisbon, and Paris, it’s about time the tour made its stateside debut. But if you don't make it out this November, you'll miss it entirely -- and it's still a long time until Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.
