Rubber sneakers are practical, and cooler than ugg-ly snow boots.
Attn: Sad Soggy Feet:
We’re sorry for all those times we’ve worn flimsy flats when it was below 30 degrees and hailing. Is it so wrong that we wanted you to look cute?!
Fortunately, those days are over… for the most part. We’ve found waterproof, cheap, and stylish shoes, and we have the creative team at Rubber Duck to thank.
Check out their website to find the label’s snow-friendly boots, rubber moccasins (see them to believe them), and a variety of puffy sneakers in high and low tops. The footwear comes in many colors and fabrics, most of which boast a furry insulating liner that allows you to walk home in the winter without fearing a March of the Penguins moment.
Back in 1970, little Ernie’s (from Sesame Street) tribute to his favorite “rubber duckie” winded up on Billboard’s 100 Singles, ranking at #16. And now, in 2009, Rubber Duck shoes have made NYLON’s top freezing weather solutions. An arbitrary coincidence? Only the duck knows.
