GOOD LISTENER

The five most-heard songs on our office iPods this week.

Another week, another round-up of new and exciting music.  And even though old favorites still reign (as we speak, the fashion closet's blaring Kaiser Chiefs), a few fresh tunes have hit our Party Mixes...

Kill Hannah - You're Beautiful

A throwback to the feedback-rock of Smashing Pumpkins and Flickerstick, this song is especially soothing when pulling an all-nighter.

The Soft Pack - Fences

We played five seconds of the song before knowing we loved it.  But we had to play it twice before realizing it was a cover of a recent Phoenix hit.  Nicely done, boys.

Vampire Weekend - Horchata

The clever boys from Columbia have done it again, with a lyrical bongo trip that keeps you guessing through the first bridge - and a shrewd download-for-free scheme on their website!

Javelin - Vibrationz
pitchfork.com
The nominee from NYLON TV as their most-addictive tune - can you hear it in the background of a recent podcast?  Listen close...

The Black Keys - Your Touch

Zombieland had perks besides Abigail Breslin killing the undead - it also blared a kickass soundtrack including this new single, our favorite.

i know this is an old post but i'm pretty sure the kill hannah song you guys are talking about is called "snowblinded" off of their new album "wake up the sleepers". regardless i'm just happy kh is getting some press. they are an awesome band that i think nylon readers would love if they gave them a chance.
