Like most American girls who find themselves in Paris for a summer, Catherine Chen and Haley Boyd experienced some serious style envy while observing
les français.
But the Parsons School of Design grads didn't resort to the usual fashion remedies (splurging on Vanessa Bruno, calling your vest a
gillet, attempting to simultaneously rock smudgy eyeliner with a beret).
Instead, they created their own footwear line, called Le Marais USA. Named for the hip Parisian district where Leonard Cohen, Rick Owens, and Kirsten Dunst have all lived, the label boasts simple, chic shoes the same way The Row claims to have the perfect t-shirt, or Gap lays claim to classic jeans.
Boots run around $120, shoes go for about $80 - no exchange rate required.
