FreeBird is changing that. The bag collection—designed by Sung Ah Choe—features a series of PVC bags all under $100.
The satchels, shoppers, totes, and messengers are equal parts structure and slouch, with braided drawstrings, patchwork designs, and dreamcatcher keychains. Even the colors, which include eggplant, persimmon, and mushroom, are all-natural in their inspiration.
Only in its first season, and already FreeBird has they effortlessly cool thing down pat; the question isn’t whether you’ll find anything you like, but rather, how to choose which you like best. Luckily, with these prices you’ll be excused for ordering two (or three, or four…).

I'm fully in support of finding animal-friendly alternatives to leather but PVC is environmentally HORRIBLE...non-biodegradable, toxic in its breakdown, difficult to produce...so in the end pretty bad for animals and the rest of us. better solution: cloth or vintage buys.
