You won't get the munchies with Mary Jane's Relaxing Soda.

The NYLON office is usually buzzing on Monday mornings, with shoots to style, stories to write, and pages to design. But a very different type of buzz spread through our HQ yesterday, thanks to Mary Jane’s Relaxing Soda.

The all-natural drink promises instant euphoria, spreading good vibes with its blend of Kava root, Passion Flower, carbonated water, and sugar cane. It might not be the type of “herbal refreshment” Tai was referring to in Clueless, but we certainly got a little giggly after a few sips.

Kava’s the main ingredient that assuages anxiety and counteracts stress; for centuries, the root of South Pacific Piper Methysticum plant has provided relief for islanders, providing they could get past its unpleasant taste. Though Mary Jane’s soda has come up with a formula that masks Kava’s least desirable traits, it certainly doesn’t taste like rainbows.

But then again, that just might be the price you pay for happy thoughts.

I want to try it, after other research online it says the taste is pretty good too! the price isn't bad either but I wish they sold it in stores because buying 4 bottles of soda over mail is a little odd.

Kava kava is pretty good, not too intense. I have a hard time masking the taste when I make it myself so I'm eager to try this.

By the way, kava only causes liver damage if you're consuming the leaves and stems. The root is what you want to drink and the damage it causes is far less than alcohol.

I'd like to try one if they're relatively cheap, but I think it's stupid that it references marijuana when it's obviously not. disappointing
