URBAN LEGENDS

URBAN LEGENDS

Fit an entire decade of pop culture history around your neck.

Madonna had her cone-shaped bra, Michael Jackson had his glove, and Boy George had his pork pie hat. But for a limited time, you can have them all, thanks to Chris Habana’s Legends of Pop collection.

The five-piece series uses the iconic props of iconic pop culture figures as inspiration; besides a charm-sized bra, glove, and hat necklace, Habana also recreated the key hoop Janet Jackson wore on the cover of Rhythm Nation and turned the New Kids on the Block’s “Hangin Tough” logo into an earring.

The entire brightly-lacquered collection arrives today at A. OK, the lower-priced sister store to cult favorite boutique OAK. And while it’s not hard to get your hands on some Culture Club vinyl, procuring a Boy George-inspired necklace is a bit tougher, since the pieces are all limited edition.
