READ MY LIPS

A Euro cult classic changes its name and comes to America.

If your family came to America through Ellis Island, they may have had to change their name in the process.  So, too, did Nivea lip balms, which finally migrate from France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Greece, and Israel to America.

Known across the ocean as Labello, the Nivea balms come in plain, beach (a yellow tube with extra SPF), pearl (imagine Chapstick with pink shimmer), and flavors like pomegranate and cherry.

They're cheap (about $3.50), they're invading CVS, and your friends in Paris can't ever taunt you with their Labello stashes again.  Their heaps of Repetto flats from Colette, however, are another situation altogether.

I'm from Denmark where we'd have Labello for as long as I remember - They're good, but I prefer carmex (which you can't get here in Denmark!) any day.

My favorite is the cherry. It makes your lips so soft and red! It doesn't just have that top layer that works and the rest that doesn't as most chap sticks do. This one works till it's dying twist.

i love these products? the one that i have been using lately isn't pictured here, but it's the anti-aging lip care in a squeeze tube. i LOVE it. i honestly couldn't find ANY lip product (carmex, chapstick, softlips, burt's bees etc.) that gets my lips as soft as nivea. i also swear by their firming lotion!!!
