The model and DJ shares Maybelline's makeup suite with Dani Stahl.
Montauk’s hotel / restaurant / hotspot Surf Lodge is definitely the place to be in summer '09, with parties for the Gossip Girls, Roxy, and even NYLON’s own pied piper Jared Flint.
What's even better is that there's now Maybelline New York & Garnier Surf Salon for beach bound stylistas - namely hottie DJ (and none other than Keith Richards' daughter) Alexandra Richards! I had the chance to hang with her for a bit, and get our hair and make up done together before she hit the turntables.
Alexandra, how’d you beat me to the party?
I drove out on Thursday with my boyfriend Nick Cohen in an Audi car I scored for the summer.
What was your first stop?
South Hampton! I went to Pink Elephant to DJ with Nick. Usually, I do Connecticut [where her family lives] for the Fourth, but I’ve working out here so I stayed.
What’s your summer drink?
Rose wine; I call it “pink water.”
Why did you start DJ’ing?
I don’t play any instruments, but I love music!
Who’s on your set list this evening?
Gregory Isaac, Pluto Shervington, Bob Marley… it’s reggae night so I’m going to play all different types.
Who’s your co-DJ? Is that Nick?
It’s Jamie Biden from the band Bloody Social [editor’s note: and son of Vice President Joe Biden].
