Whether you call them rompers, playsuits, or onesies, nothing compares to the ease of wearing a one-piece. There's just something about having your top and shorts sewn together that makes you feel ready for a picnic...and like you can worry about the logistics of using the bathroom later.
Problem is, for all their charming details, rompers can get pricey (see:
Who Put The Romp, our roundup of designer one-pieces that retail, on average, for $300). Enter Alexandra Grecco, a 25 year old designer/ photographer/ actress (everybody's got a few slashes in their title, right?) whose rompers all land around $90 but look way more expensive.
Grecco cites her grandma's bags of vintage clothes as the impetus for her designs, and it certainly shows: she nails '50s silhouettes and fabrics, including halter tops and high waisted shorts in gingham and ruffly lace. Jenny Lewis would probably do a sequel to
The Wizard just to wear these on tour.
Click over to her Etsy store to see the whole collection -- you know she won't be "up-and-coming" for long.
