Reality stars getting their own clothing line? No thanks.
Really good indie rock bands designing T-shirts for charity? Yes please.
That’s the premise of Yellow Bird Project, a non-profit organization that connects musicians with the charities of their choice.
Since 2006, the Montreal-based company has been selling tees designed by some of their favorite indie rock groups, with all the proceeds going to various organizations; Devendra Banhart is supporting Teenage Cancer Trust, The Shins are supporting the Nature Conservancy, and Au Revoir Simone is supporting Transportation Alternatives.
That’s not all—YBP is releasing
The Indie Rock Coloring Book this September, which really is as cool as it sounds. Only downside? It won’t be released until September. To make the wait a bit sweeter, we’re giving away five YBP T-shirts. To enter,
click here to submit your info (including shirt size!).
And then donate a couple bucks to your favorite charity—a bit of good karma just might help your chances of winning.
