FIRST LOOK: ALEX NOBLE

Can a costume designer take over the world?

If you don't know about Alex Noble yet, don't worry - you've seen his stuff.  The artist and designer has created pieces for everyone from Lady Gaga to the windows of Selfridges, where his fashion explosions show shopping can also be art.

Besides making clothes worn by Gisele, Beth Ditto, Ana Matronic, and Anne V., Alex's clothes have been shot by Hedi Slimane and Mario Testino.

If that's not enough, Noble is the creative director of Batty Bass, a collaboration with DJ Hannah Holland that's a record label, a fashion label, AND a party in London's West End.  They'll also have a pop-up shop later this summer for UK fans.

But first, check out Alex's first formal look book for NYLON.  Study it now, then tune into MTV and who knows - you might recognize your favorite outfit on a starlet near you.

Alex has a crazy website.
So does Morgan, the photographer.
And we have Lady Gaga on NYLON TV!

Love the clothes. Not so much on Lady Gaga though.

Of course they're wearable! Obvously you wouldn't wear a pantless leotard on the streets like Lady Gaga but you can wear it with some other element and mix it up. yah know what i mean?

They are extreme which is what I like. I could see myself wearing something like this in the future.

I love the collection. Although I don't see it as everyday wear. Maybe if you dress then down a bit, it might work.

Personally I love it, but I'm into extreme fashion - but the affordable stuff, like Lip Service and Cyberdog.
