Tokidoki brings new meaning to the term "roller disco."
Think discoteca and you've got Studio 54, glitter eyeshadow, and maybe some spandexed hotties from Ibiza. Think Tokidoki and the mind conjures pink skulls and anime critters. But artist Simone Legno is determined to merge the two ideas this summer with his new collection skate deck, called - surprise! - Discoteca Tokidoki.
Inspired by the summer nightclubs in Legno's native Italy, the board features Tokidoki's signature models - cartoon women with pin-straight hair and pastel eyelashes - infused with glitter paint and shiny glazed overlays.
It's accompanied by thirteen other designs, including a red and yellow model mocking McDonalds French Fries. But if you can't handle a super-loud skateboard, it's okay: the Tokidoki decks are only decked on one side, so from the top view, you're just riding a normal wooden board.
