I couldn't get it to work either but if you hold your mouse over the download icon and look at the bottom of the page, you'll see the url - the last few numbers in the url are the redeem code. Just go to the itunes store, click redeem and enter code:

I was having trouble, but I had to open an apple account, once I did that, the music automatically downloaded.
Maybe that is why some girls are having trouble? I guess you have to have an apple account, which is totally free, so just sign up for it and that should work.

i tried clicking the itunes button SO MANY TIMES and it didn't work, but i tried what some other girls said to hover over the link and copy the code at the end of the url. i had to try like 6 different codes, but i FINALLY got it! worth the trouble, these are great songs.

SOLUTION TO YOUR PROBLEMS IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES.
1. Go to the home page of the iTunes Store
2. Scroll to the bottom where it says My Store, and change it to United States
3. It may or may not ask you to login, if it doesn't, hit sign in on the top right corner of iTunes
4. Create a new account, and use a new email unregistered to any iTunes account, and use any American address
5. When everything's all done, click on the download link on this page again.
6. Enjoy

TO ALL INTERNATIONAL READERS:
I found a way to get this to work for us!
Follow the directions BERNIE posted on June 2, 2009.
(itunes store> scroll to "my store" at the bottom>select usa>sign up for new account)
When you are presented with the form, enter a fake address (I got mine from NYLON magazine: 174 middletown blvd, langhorne pa 19047).
for the credit option, select paypal.
Download should work afterwards!
It worked for me and I'm in Canada so hopefully it works for you guys too!
NYLON: I'm really disappointed. First, this offer should have been available to everyone in the first place. Secondly, (even for US residents) it was not user friendly AT ALL. I do appreciate the free tunes though, now that I finally have them!

Thanks to Nitra's hint (5/26) I finally got this! Hold your mouse over the download icon and look at the bottom of the page. The last few numbers in the url are your redeem code (this is different for everyone). Go to iTunes store, click redeem, and enter your code.

Finally downloaded the music with no problem and it downloaded immediately I opened my Safari browser and then tried again and everything went very quickly with out any problems at all. I was told that Safari is much better than Explorer and AOL. especially for downloads. Thanks for the free music it is fantastic thanks again and I will enjoy

Canadians like music too, it'd be great if we actually got some of the deals Americans get, considering the magazine costs more here as well. It's crap actually, and false to say I get free music when my country isn't eligible enough for a bunch of corporate wankers covering their butts with border restrictions, which incidentally are self-imposed. In other words, this is not how to expand one's audience. I never buy this magazine, I bought it because I thought hey free music. No free music, and I'm not buying another issue. What were you thinking? America is not the world, and appropriately, the majority of the artists listed for this "free" campaign are not American either. Congratulations.

Tip- choose streets that are common such as Main Street. I am sooo stoked... I needed some new music on my Ipod. Heres what you need to do: Do not click the Download button, just put your mouse over the download to iTunes button. On the bottom of the screen you will see a link and that link contains the code. You will need to write the code down on something. Go into iTunes and click on the Redeem button. Type in the code and your downloads should begin shortly.

I LIVE IN CANADA & I FOOLED ITUNES! If you have friends/relatives in the states, just create an account out of their address. I'm sure most of you have more than one email accounts, soo, why not create a new "american account" for all the free American music. And you tried to keep us out of the loop, Nylon. Nice try.
"Click Redeem" then just create account, then they won't ask you for billing info. cos the redeem code will be there.

If it won't work for you, try tturning off your pop up blocker, then if it still doesn't work, try pressing the shift key while clicking the link.

Thanks for wasting my time Nylon. If you can't bother to make your content accessible to ALL your readers, I can't be bothered to buy your magazine any more. At least the mags I buy up here in Canada LET me get the music they post... Hell, even READYMADE Magazine lets their international readers get their music links. If they can do it, you can do it, and for not doing it, you tell me you don't care about your international readers. My money will be going elsewhere from now on.

If you can't get it to work in The US, click control when you click it, and it should allow it to work if pop ups were the issue. I allowed pop ups, but still it wouldn't work until I tried that.

thank you sooo much amazing person from france who figured out how to get the playlist even if you're not american!!! i'm from canada and was thoroughly pissed to find i couldnt download the songs....yet i followed frenchie's directions and voila! i am an honourary american citizen...i live on McMunchkin Ave by the by
so if youre not american do not fear! scroll down untill you see like arabic writing or something...and then scroll a bit more and you will find out how to download everything!!!!!!!

Tried to open a us account as it was said (im a Frenchie) but didn't work, so what i did, very simple, is to go on you tube, find the video clip and then download it with a converter program (for free of course). So YES the non-us residents can find a way as well, if they are trying a bit !

Hi. I see that some people aren't able to get this 'freebie'. Don't fret, here's how to do it. AOL has one of the trickiest browsers of all existing browsers, so just copy/paste the url into Internet Explorer, then Itunes will prompt you for your AOL password.. be sure to put a dot in the circle next to the 'AOL' username/password not the Apple one unless you have an Apple Username/PW in which case that'll be fine. Once I did these things Itunes began the 22 song download. I can't wait to pick my fave later :)

MEGGO i was having the same problem. Take your mouse, hold it over the download icon (the download on iTunes button) and look at the bottom of the page. THat's the url, the last string of letters is the redeem code. copy that, go to itunes, hit redeem and enter that code then it will ask for your pass word and it'll start downloading. i only got it to work cause of how NITRA explained it in a message towards the top.

dunno if it's the same in america but in the uk theres a lil thing called consumers rights which states that if you dont advertise that it's only for US customers, it should be for everyone else too. i brought this isuue especially for the summer playlist thing so it sucks especially in these financially crappy times that its invalid.
this actually really sucks guys and i think maybe you should do something about it. we pay more than americans for this magazine.

I'm still rating this at one as it is effort, but, international readers follow the steps from CC ... it worked for me!
*************(disgruntled) INTERNATIONAL READERS**************** To get playlist: select "United States of America" at the bottom of the iTunes Store homepage; proceed to create a fake account situated in America. Tip- choose streets that are common such as Main Street. Zip codes are 5 digits for those who don't have them in their respective countries and Wikipedia can provide a list of accurate location specific area codes for your fake phone number. This takes 5 minutes; the download takes forever, but it's free. Yours truly, Canadian Comrade P.S. NYLON, this was a dipshit move. There's no point in offering free gifts if it's an exclusive club. All readers should receive what you advertise. You may not have noticed, but you do make sales in other countries and we appreciate getting the same treatment as your American fans. Canadians already pay an inflated price, please don't insult us. I don't know about the rest of the world, but I'm sure they don't like being treated as secondary readers to your mag either. This is a matter of principle. It's not even about the music; it's what the exclusive nature of the content represents--favouritism. Yes, the rest of the English speaking world uses the letter "u" in words like "favourite" and "labour" and "colour". I digress.

It took me a few times to try and download. The trick I found when the prompt comes up stating this page contains "Do you want to view only the webpage content that was delivered securely?" click on "No" The next prompt box is "Do you want this website to open a program on your computer?" click on "Allow" This is where I had to sign into my itunes account and it downloaded right away. So I hope this helps someone who had the same problem I did.
I agree, they could have made the prompt easy for all users. It is sad that not all countries can not access, because they are people just like us in the states. Just like I wanted some music from another country and it did not allow me.

I'm having problems downloading this. I figured out about the pop-up blocker and all that, but when the Nylon page opens on the iTunes page and it says my playlist is downloading, it isn't. Instead, on my Downloads tab on iTunes, I have 167 (from all the times I've tried) downloads available. It won't let me download them. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone help me out? Pretty please :)

I have been begging my parents for an itunes card (specifically before Aug 31) all summer long, and today, on august 29th i finally get it. i click on "get it on iTunes" and what do i find out? IT'S ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE U.S.!??!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?
