Babycakes brings their cult sweet treats to a new cookbook.


If you live anywhere near New York, you've probably made a pilgrimage to BabyCakes, the vegan bakery whose cupcakes are both organic and addictive.  But now you can indulge in the BC's luscious treats without Fed-Exing them to your not-in-NY address (which actually happens, a lot, at the Lower East Side shop).

BabyCakes (the book) debuts in three weeks, and shares the secrets of vegan frosting, agave nectar, and to-die-for banana pudding.  It's written by the bakery founder, Erin McKenna, so you know her advice on wheat-free flour and chocolate alternatives is legit. 

But meat-and-potatoes girls shouldn't dismiss the possibilities, either: NYLON's digital team makes regular hamburger runs, and still prefers BabyCakes to any other sweet treat.  It really is that good.
