Vegan alternatives to this season's hottest leather jacket.
Spring runways were crammed with leather bomber jackets, and celebrities followed suit - witness Lindsay in her Alexander Wang zip-up, Mary Kate in cropped Gucci, and Kirsten Dunst wearing a red vintage motorcycle coat in LA.
But what if you're vegan and don't do the leather thing? That's a problem our two fashion editors, Jared Flint and Michelle Reneau, encounter all the time. But this season, things are a little different, as companies come up with new alternatives to the leather and suede coats once hyped by James Dean.
Below, eight of our favorites - just as cute as the leather bombers from Mike & Chris or D&G, but mostly made of cotton. Bonus: that means you can wear them well into summer, too.

I would wear fake leather in a heartbeat. Its a great alternative for people who are against leather and at times it is also way less expensive than real leather

I love the faux leather!!! I'm vegan & I don't support the senseless killing of animals for a piece of clothing when there are other sufficient materials that look just as nice. :) I'd rock it!!

silence and noise isn't by obesity and speed, it's one of urban's in-store brands. nothing sacred is their collaboration with obesity and speed. other than that error, these jackets are great.

Why would anyone want to wear real leather? It smells. Its heavy. Expensive. And it means wearing the skin of an innocent animal like a cave man.

these jackets aren't trying to look like leather. syntheic leather can be ify, it depends on the color, cut and material...i think motor jackets are hot nevermind what they're made of, it depends on the design. plus, these are so much more affordable!

being a vegan, it's really hard to find trendy items in vegan fabrics. i will most definitely be rocking the leather bomber trend as soon as i find the perfect vegan one.

I love the leather jackets.
But i must say its not just the style i love, its the smell and the feel.
Plastic leather doesn't feel the same, last the same length of time or fit like a leather jacket should.
But i do love the linen and denim styles

thanks a lot! i was searching something like that! i dont wear leather jackets (i love animals) or plastic leather jacket like HeM (they're not ecologic at all)..but i love them! so that's perfect!
