It's our 10th anniversary, so we knew our cover had to be huge. That meant only one thing: Lindsay Lohan. The starlet and self proclaimed "tabloid obsession" sits down with NYLON for a candid chat.
On Having Her Picture Taken:
I love doing photo shoots… I mean, if I could just sign with IMG and do ad campaigns and model more, I’d do that… because that’s fun for me. That’s not work.
Her one Mean Girls reference:
There’s not much I can do about the fact that I’ve become a kind of tabloid obsession. I can’t change that. And yes, the websites, the gossip pages, and all of that stuff have hurt my career – they’re like the Burn Books of Hollywood… but I really don’t feel like I should have to prove myself to anyone because of living out my college years in the public eye. I’m glad everything happened the way it did.
On Britney Spears:
She’s marketed as an entertainer, which is what she is. Not necessarily as, like, an artist. And I respect that about her, cause she doesn’t want to pretend.
On her future:
I'm talking to [lots of people]. One is Sean Penn – I spoke to him again the other day. We’re trying to get Seth Rogen for this project, but Seth won’t call us back. So call us back, Seth, if you’re reading this!

This is the issue that represents an entire decade of talented and inspiring people, and the only person you can think of for the cover is Lindsay Lohan?!? What has she done that deserves to be apraised? To be honest, it's people like her that make me ashamed of my generation. Nylon, I was extremely disappointed with the article. It was pretty pointless. Lindsay Lohan is not relevant anymore, she doesn't have a job at the moment, and pretty much the entire "article" was how she was trying to find a new movie to work in. Why doesn't she get some work, and THEN it would make more sense to feature her? Speaking of the article itself, wtf? When did Nylon become Seventeen and use a Q&A format? Luke Crisell has written some of my favorite cover stories so that in particular really surprised me. The only thing I got out of that feature was that she now has a leggings company. And since no one with any dignity wears leggings anymore, I'll be sure not to check that out either.

No, not everyone loves Lohan. She has ruined her career by acting stupid and ridiculous, including getting a DUI. She no longer deserves to get this sort of attention. I for one beleive that Lindsey Lohan is an attractive young lady. It is just so iconic, that no matter what woman is blasted by what she wears or does, she is shown by the media, or press, or the pavaratzi, that they are ugly and bad. Did you ever take in to think that they do this in hopes that you will leave them be, or who knows, maybe they do it because they are paid to do so. She looks way too skinny which is an indicator that she may be using drugs again. I don't agree with her assessment that she had to live out her college years in public. Maybe if she actually went to college instead of choosing to be a public spectacle, she'd have a profession today and not have to slink around the Hollywood scene basically hoping someone will hire her. Though everyone seems to smell a direction of wrong decisions for LL, she represents the harsh reality of growing up. Wow, Lindsay surely looks better than ever. I love how you glammed her up and this is the healthiest (minus the smoking) and prettiest I've ever seen her. But honestly, I think she is undeserving of the Nylon cover. Nylon is the coolest, hottest magazine to me...and Lindsay Lohan just doesn't fit the bill. To the people who are saying how it's "uncool" for people to smoke, it's THEIR choice, not yours. If they want to smoke, don't hold it against them. Smoking doesn't make a person, if you understand what I'm saying. And what I'm sick of, even though I know it will never change, is that everybody judges celebrities on what they've heard on the radio, magazines...etc. What people say about the person isn't necessarily the truth. You're better off believing the actually celebrity that is being talked about, even if there is a chance that they're lying, at least it's coming from then and not a total outsider that in reality doesn't know anything about their life.

I know that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but come on..."she looks amazing"? She looks emaciated and worn out. Once upon a time, her look was healthy and fresh...now she just looks like a drugged out street person who has been washed and dressed in expensive clothing. I feel harsh saying so, but I really don't see how anyone could think she's attractive these days. However, we have seen others rebound...and she's young.
