When MAC first introduced Lipglass, a beauty staple was born. From middle school halls to magazine makeup closets, it was the gloss du jour, thanks to its perfect texture, flawless colors, and amazing consistency.

Since then, the beauty giant has mined inspiration from plastic dolls, street art, and animated kittens, but it took a sweet-tooth to come up with a new twist on the classic: going from one color to three.

The limited edition Tricolour Lipglass is part of MAC’s new Sugarsweet collection, which officially hits stores March 19 (but is already available online). Each of the five color combos features three lip-licking colors. Like the rest of collection, based on the cupcake trend that just won’t die, it’s overloaded with sugar rush-inducing combos. “Triple Yum” is a toffee trio of brick, bronze, and golden shimmer, “Tasty” features bright red, brighter pink, and a blue-pink shimmer, and “Consume Me” is like cotton candy for your lips, with layers of pastel pink, iridescent mint-blue, and a sparkly white.

It’s proof that you really can improve upon a near-perfect product—although we’re still waiting for a real cupcake that won’t put us in a sugar coma.
