Can perfume be an art exhibit?

The term "artist" gets thrown around a lot these days.  Musicians, actors, chefs, and even car engineers want to be in the same Scattergory as Damien Hirst.

Now the New Museum extends the title to smells, collaborating with the Japanese design collective SANAA on a new perfume.  Called "Translucence," the scent claims to bring SANAA's visions of architecture and public space into... um... your nose.

The perfume retails for $50 at the New Museum and online, but is extremely limited - less than 200 vials were made.  After that, you'll have to buy SANAA's other famous fashion product - they designed all the packaging for Prada Beauty.
