I consider myself a smart shopper—splurges and impulse buys are rare occurrences. Except, that is, when it comes to Paul & Joe beauty products.
They are like little treasures that I buy more to look at than to use. They sit on my dresser at home, my desk at work, and even make an appearance underground, when I’m sitting on the subway trying to impress some stranger.
Now Paul & Joe’s spring offerings have hit the web, and I’m torn over just which products I want (or, more accurately, if it’s wrong to just go ahead and by each and every new shade).
The limited edition collection, called “Sparkles” despite the lack of actual glitter, is as chic as ever; a Liberty-like floral pattern encases the eye shadow palettes, while vintage-inspired prints coat the new lipstick colors. (which have the most amazing consistency, if you actually decide to use them) But that’s not all—this spring, Paul & Joe is also introducing a nail and hand care kit. Inside the red and pink butterfly tin is hand cream, nail polish, and a pair of gloves to help you moisturize (but would also look killer worn with one of Luella’s spring ensembles). It’s charming and chic, and yet totally functional.
Which might make me feel a bit less bad about hoarding the rest of the collection.
