Most e-cards come off more as an after-thought than a thoughtful gesture; low-grade graphics, grating music, and cheesy sayings are not just grimace-inducing, but utterly forgettable. Who sent you that birthday card? What day is that party?
But it’s not quite as easy to ignore
pingg.com’s new designer series. The online e-card site just recruited a few good artists—like fashion photographer Ben Watts (yes, Naomi would be his sister), Etsy illustrator Dallas Shaw, and stick-of-butter-loving Stephanie DosReis—to whip up graphics for pingg.com cards. The designs are fresh, edgy, and totally free.
Which is the point of having sending a card via the internet—it’s a quick and easy way to let someone know you’re thinking of them or want to throw an impromptu party. And your friends will have a much harder time deleting your card when it looks like it should be hanging on the wall.
