MAC gets Hello Kitty. Stila gets Barbie. But where does that leave the ultimate childhood beauty favorite, Lip Smacker?

With Paul Frank’s mascot, Julius the monkey.

The brand best known for its cheeky tees just announced an upcoming collaboration with the Bonne Bell brand. The limited-edition collection includes nine monkey-approved flavors, like banana, banana pie, banana split, chocolate-covered banana, and just about every other banana combo you can imagine.

The glosses won’t be hitting stores until late-2009 (hello, stocking stuffer!), which leaves just enough time for a Manic Panic/Jem and the Holograms partnership to happen. Fingers crossed...

since when were lip smackers sophisticated in any way? haha. this is a good marketing technique. the two things 11 year olds like most in this world are paul frank and lip smackers. now they're one.

This is adorable! I haven't witnessed too much elementary-themed make-up/fashion going on lately, so this totally brings me back to all the Paul Frank toons I watched online when I was younger! And the Paul Frank socks I had (which I still had up until about a year ago when I got big holes in them...). Although, I don't know if I am too keen about everything being some sort of weird Banana flavour...
