THE MODEL'S GUIDE TO BRAZIL

THE MODEL'S GUIDE TO BRAZIL

Sao Paulo hot-spots from the girls who know them best.

Forget backpackers and jet-setters; if anyone's the travel authority, it should be models. From Paris to New York, London to Milan, these girls see enough of the world to become bona fide flight attendants.

I learned this during Sao Paulo Fashion Week, when I logged as many hours hanging out backstage with the models as I did watching the actual shows. It ended up being the perfect place to get insider advice on Sao Paulo hot-spots.

So book your plane ticket, reserve your hotel room, and take notes on the best places to visit while in Sao Paulo; you just might be sitting next to your favorite model eating lunch at the Ritz or dancing until 6 a.m. at Gloria.

Thana Kuhnen
Spotted: Backstage at Ronaldo Lourenco.
Visit: The Ritz (Al. Franca 1050). Try the chef salad--it's the best salad in Sao Paulo.

Barbara DiCredeo
Spotted: Backstage at Ronaldo Lourenco
Visit: Northern Brazil because it has the best beaches.

Karoline Burr
Spotted: On her way to SPFW shows
Visit: Starbucks. Sao Paulo is the only state in Brazil that has one.

Rhaisa Batista
Spotted: Backstage at Ellus
Visit: Fasano Restaurant at the Fasano Hotel (Rua Vittorio Fasano 88).

Raquel Zimmermann
Spotted: Backstage at Animale
Visit: There are so many great places to visit in Sao Paulo, but Ritz is the best. It's very low-key and has bacalhau (a traditional type of Brazilian dish). My friends go there with me and we hang out.

Renata Klem
Spotted: Backstage at Uma
Visit: Ritz and Spot (Rua Min. Rocha Azevedo 72). For something different, try The Week--it's a gay club, but it's a lot of fun (Rua Guaicurus 324).

Lais
Spotted: Backstage at Uma
Visit: The best place in Sao Paulo, for me, is Gloria, because the music is really nice and the people are nice (Rua Treze de Maio 830).

Vanessa M.
Spotted: Backstage at Uma
Visit: Iguatemi for shopping (Ave. Brig. Faria Lima 2232). Zara, Triton, and Forum are my favorite stores there.

Daiane Conterato
Spotted: On her way to SPFW shows
Visit: Oscar Freire is amazing. It has good stores and restaurants.

Bruna Tenorio
Spotted: Backstage at Neon
Visit: Jardins for shopping. I like the area--no store in particular.

there's also starbucks in Rio de Janeiro!! and bacalhau is codfish...and is a fish used in many traditional dishes in Portugal(here in Brazil we eat it a lot, but we incorporated the fish because of our portuguese colonizers, so its not a brazilian dish!)

love teddy bear and I love this design!!
