LOOKBOOK: ORLA KIELY FOR TARGET

Why should your closet have all the fun?

The secret treat of a housebound winter is reruns:  The Fresh Prince in the morning, The Cosby Show at night, and the rest of the time, The Brady Bunch.

But spending time in TV Land leads to big questions, like "Why can't I dress like Denise?" and "Why did Will's cab have dice in the mirror?" and the big one:  "Where did Carol Brady buy all the psychedelic kitchen towels?"

Maybe she was teaming up with Orla Kiely, the print-popping Irish designer whose bold graphics stamp bags and umbrellas all over the world.

Now Orla brings her style to Target, creating almost a hundred housewares for your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and garage.  There's aprons, dishes, trays, towels, trunks - all in prints and colors usually reserved for polyester pants.

Kiely's stuff is usually quite expensive, but thanks to her Target partnership, everything is under $20, so even if you're raising three boys of your own (or three very lovely girls), you can indulge.

I don't really like it. Why should my apartment look like something out of an old TV show? Especially that era. I much prefer the way it's decorated now. But that's just me. I forsee a lot of those little orange stickers on these items in the near future.

All cute in a small dose, however if I ever saw a room fully decorated with all of these things my eyeballs would explode and fall out of my head from the pattern..
