Andy Warhol may have democratized art, but many of his most iconic works have been kept under lock and key. Take his screen tests, which he shot in the mid-‘60s: Public consumption has been limited to museum exhibitions and art house screenings. That is, until now.

13 Most Beautiful…Songs for Andy Warhol’s Screen Tests, out this month, is the first authorized DVD release of the artist’s films. In it, you’ll see Nico, Lou Reed, Edie Sedgwick, Jane Holzer, and seven others strike a pose as the camera rolls. The slow-motion four-minute masterpieces are as much a portrait of the sitter as a reflection of the artist.

The standard edition includes a behind-the-scenes documentary and liner notes, while the deluxe edition also comes with an exclusive poster, booklet, and a hand-printed film still.
