WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE

WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE

Jeremy Scott + Barbie = Madness. Oh, and she's coming to Fashion Week.

Andy Warhol may have coined the term "Plastic, Fantastic, Inevitable," but he obviously got it from somewhere - and maybe it was Barbie.

The ultimate American dream girl was based on a German sex toy from the '50s, but since then she's been a doctor, an astronaut, a race car driver, and a Malibu surfer.

Now she'll also be muse to Jeremy Scott, who makes a Barbie-inspired collection for Paris Fashion Week.  The line debuts on March 12 at Colette, but Americans will also get their shot with the plasticine princess in the middle of February:

Mattel just announced their sponsorship of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City, meaning this February, you'll be seeing a lot more pink... and maybe some plastic shoes that keep getting lost, too.
