After four years, Franz Ferdinand comes out of hiding with a new album.
Whoever said patience is a virtue clearly doesn’t know what it’s like to wait for a new album from your favorite band. While some groups, like the Bumblebeez, give you a new song every day, Franz Ferdinand has taken its sweet time putting together album number three, Tonight.
Although you’ve still got to wait more than a month until it hits stores (January 27, mark your calendars!), Tonight is finally available for pre-order on iTunes. And because the Scottish quartet knows just how long you’ve been waiting, they’re making it worth your while: Order it now and you’ll get their new single, “Ulysses” right away, as well as two bonus tracks once the album is officially released.
If patience is indeed one of your virtues, you’ll also be rewarded; Franz Ferdinand is putting out two special edition box sets (one which includes 7” singles, a dub version of the album, and DVD, and a 24-page book).
Either way, it’s enough to excuse the four years you've been waiting for this album.
