And though cranberry sauce and pie can do wonders, what usually takes up plates are mashed potatoes. Pats of butter, loads of salt, and sometimes a mix of peas and carrots contribute to sleepy euphoria, at least until an Aunt or Uncle tells you to “just try” a drumstick. Blech.

Church's Chicken
Plain old fashioned mashed potatoes
anywhere in the U.S
Why? A fanily size of it is under $5, its in the truest state of mashed potato-ism, and it's amazing when your sick. I had a virus one year, and the only thing i could truly stomach were these mashed potatoes. Im a fan none the less :]
