Stephanie Carta and Gareth Pugh get jewelery shoutouts - are you jealous?
Jennifer Aniston got a hairstyle named after her, and the Duke of Wellington got some rain boots. But now, more modern muses are getting some stuff too, thanks to San Francisco jewelers Alex + Chloe.
The duo famous for their Lucite silhouette pendants just released a new collection, including two major fashion shout-outs: One for London designer Gareth Pugh, and one for Aussie model Stephanie Carta.
The Diamond Girl necklace - that's Gareth's - replicates a silhouette from his winter show, and crafts it black (like the original runway piece), gold, bronze, or silver. It's a bold piece, but sure to get people talking, especially if your friends are fashion junkies.
A little more subtle is the Stephanie pendant, a silhouette of a young model that's an ode to the Aussie's breakout show season where she was one of the few new girls to walk Balenciaga's Paris catwalk.
Alex + Chloe also made a "witch boot" pendant, after Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquiere's insane footwear creations, and though it's not as much fun as the real thing, it's much cheaper - about $50, as opposed to the $2,000 you'll shill for the actual shoe.
Plus, you'll get to tell people "Oh, it's Balenciaga," and sort of not be lying...
