Prada launches costume jewelry. We start dreaming.

When Prada broke the news that it would release a costume jewelry collection for the holidays, everybody flipped:

This was a chance to buy something with the glam, ultramodern look of Prada that didn't cost more than college tuition.

Now we have the first images of the upcoming range, and it's pretty Oscar-worthy.  Of course, even if you don't have a red carpet coming up, the bedazzled jewels (which sell from $200 - $800) can deck your wardrobe - pair one of the resin and rhinestone necklaces with a sweater and jeans for the ultimate in I-don't-care luxury.  How very grown up of you.

Absolutely gorgeous. I never knew plastic could look this good! Plus the crystal studded earrings and necklaces are breathtakingly yummy.
