FIRST LOOK FROM LONDON: PAUL SMITH

Are you quirky, preppy, or just plain insane? Then Paul Smith is your new boyfriend.

It used to be that girls shopped Paul Smith for the plaids, the tweeds, and the corset-tight blazers.  But now?  Not so much.  This season on Paul Smith's runway, the British legend brought us back to Boho, incorporating djellabas, hajibs, and fringe silk saris (worn as belts and sewn into sun dresses) along with his usual checks-and-stripes routine.

As Lykke Li and Santogold blasted through speakers, a  parade of world traveling beauties stomped through the ballroom at Claridge's Hotel, wearing long gauzy dresses in prints you could see from streets away.

We liked it.  We'll buy it.  And we're dying to show you.  Click here to see the whole thing as a gallery, and let us know your favorite look below - after all, we can't put it in NYLON if you don't tell us you're killing to see it again.

I respect the fact that Paul Smith has a reputation for being a fabulous and innovative fashion designer, but honestly, as great as the pieces are, I see no cohesiveness in this collection whatsoever. I'd love to see his point of inspiration.. perhaps a mood board or five?
