Sneakers as covetable couture is nothing new - last year Jonathan Saunders collaborated with Gola, making sneakers with clean lines and modest colors. But for spring, Christian Lacroix has gone in a completely different direction; he made his shoes pretty.

They're cut from serious leather in rich colors with inventive embroidery and embossing that will make you want to wear them with everything you own. And at $250 to $400 a pair, we won't blame you for pairing them with both that Philip Lim dress you were lusting after from last week and your good ol’ Cheap Mondays.

The bad news is the shoes won't be available until January.
