Yes, Bijou Phillips looks just as good in a video game.
Princess Peach may still win our vote for prettiest video game character, but creepiest will now be going to the creatures of Spore.
Created by the same guy who developed The Sims, Spore is the first game that allows players to completely design their imaginary universe; from the characters to the surroundings, your customization dictates what you see onscreen.
Although the game isn’t out until September 7, you can dream up your animated player online through Spore’s Creature Creator. In addition to more than 1 million homemade characters already uploaded, there are a handful of celeb spawns; Kittypurrysaurus by Katy Perry, Blue Snarkle by Elijah Wood, and Joburg by Bijou Phillips are among the 63 creatures with big-name creators. And while the paparazzi may not exist in the Spore world, you can vote on your favorite and use their character to play the game.
It got us thinking: If someone like David Lynch, who has his own creature, already has a twisted outlook on life, what would his Spore world look like? And would we even want to see it?
