Everyone I know has a tattoo fantasy: When they're getting it, what it will say, where it will be. But only half my friends have actually gone under the needle, leaving the rest of us to draw wistfully on our hands with Sharpies or eyeliner.
But now we can get one step closer: This season, tattoo tights are all over, making it easy to pretend you've gotten inked without actually committing. The concept is simple: Take sheer stockings, print them with... well, anything... and voila. Instant tattoo prints.
Our favorite so far are the Victorian scrawls as seen above, done by
Be Baroque, a British line specializing in stockings. There are also heaps of designs on the indie artist site
Etsy. But if you don't feel like shopping, there's also the DIY route - get a thin-tipped Sharpie, stretch your nylons out on a piece of cardboard (the one they came wrapped around should be just fine) and go crazy - besides being temporary, it's also way less painful than the real deal.
