FUTURE PERFECT

FUTURE PERFECT

Zaha Hadid moves from architecture to shoes.

Renowned architect Zaha Hadid has a Nobel Prize, a Chanel boutique, and a golf cart (really) created in her honor.

But apparently, that's not enough.

Now Ms. Hadid is getting her own shoe collection.

The Iraqi design legend just paired with Melissa Shoes in Brazil for an 8-piece collection of plastic heels (think jellies, but slightly sturdier) boasting her own futuristic designs.

The shoes will be about $350, and will retail online at Opening Ceremony, Dover Street Market, and other boutiques starting this September - but you might have to fight (or order really early) to get your own pair.

Fight? order early? no thanks, i'll just "appreciate" from afar.

I think these shoes are very edgy and I wouldn't mind having a pair, but I'd rather buy 7 pairs of shoes for 350 than just one.

I'm just sayin... if you don't spend $350, you'll never have shoes like these. They're definitely dope. If I had the money I would spring for it but til then I'll be working on a similar Glad bag shoe.

i have two pairs of melissa shoes, very comfy. Earlier cooperations with melissa had other designers (westwood, campana etc) have been a lot cheaper and quite reasonably priced. I love Melissa, but these are simply too expensive for me.

I saw it at São Paulo Fashion Week, they´re not thaaaat pretty. It´s actually quite weird. And this kind of melissa show hurts my feet a lot. It definetely don´t worth the price.
