Gap likes to one-up its peers. Take designer collaborations—When Uniqlo had Alexandre Herchcovitch and Target Jovovich-Hawk, Gap got threeASFOUR,
3.1 Phillip Lim, Band of Outsiders, Michael Bastian, and Philip Crangi. So when it came to tackling the ubiquitous Artist Designed T-shirt, they went straight to the Whitney Museum of American Art.
