Nike's floral kicks for Opening Ceremony look cool, but can a girl actually wear them?
When Nike announced a limited-edition collaboration with Opening Ceremony, everybody flipped. Hype Beast and High Snobriety pounced on the liberty print graphics; Mischa Barton and Chloe Sevigny scrambled for samples; our entire fashion department almost cried.
But now comes the real question:
The shoes look cool, but can you actually wear them?
Our fashion market editor, Michelle, gave them a test drive, and the results are, so far, so hot. The shoe has a little more of a platform than usual, so you won't feel totally flatfooted, and the print's colors are muted enough that you can mash them up with another pattern.
As Michelle was lacing up the shoes, Luke walked by and asked, "Hey, are those sneakers unisex?"
Ummm... we'll get back to him on that one.

I was in Union Square this afternoon and I saw two sickingly fashionable women walking there dogs. One had on these shoes with a pair of cut off shorts, loose fitting button up shirt a scarf and a pair of attention grabbing green shades. The outfit and shoes really went well together and her friend she was with was very fashionable as well. Only thing better than the outfits they were sporting were the super cute pooches!

A lot of guys wear a lot of Nike girl shoes these days. Especially Air Forces, Air Max, and Dunks. Nike knows this too, so they created big sizes up to size 12-13 in womens which is equivalent to size 10.5-11.5 in mens. But I have to say as a shoe lover, those shoes are sweet even though I don't rock Dunks.
