Vans teams with young artist Keren Richter for heartbreakingly hip sneakers.

In the past, Vans has laced up with Marc Jacobs, Trovata, Loomstate, and even the band Iron Maiden.  Now they're going with someone slightly more underground:  The artist Keren Richter.

Known for her melancholy-cool style of illustration, Keren has drawn for MTV, Target, and the Cold War Kids, and her pictures have been included in NYLON's past issues.

Now she's got her first line of sneakers debuting with Vans on June 1.
