BURTON + NYLON
And the winner is...
Late last year, NYLON and Burton teamed up in search of a shred betty…or, a snowboard bunny for those of us in the urban wilderness of NYC. Prizes ranged from a five-day trip for two to Colorado’s Winter Park Resort to a Burton GTwin snowboard to a one-year subscription to NYLON Magazine.

Because of snowboarding…I curse like a sailor when I eat shiznat into a box in the snowpark and I sing that tune that goes, "fly like a bird" (don't tell anyone) to summon the courage to yes, fly. Also, I superstitiously wear pinstripes, because in my world tiny stripes are "power channels”—they make me powerful, just as the power channels in the wood grain of my board make my aircraft flexible. It's for sure worth it to refill the nacho
cheese warmer and accept wet dollar bills in the lodge all day for the chance to ride!
