My favorite running route is across red bridge in Old Fair Oaks, through the bluffs along the American River, where all the hippies hang out and hand drum for hours, and you can just fall into nature.

My favorite running route is running down my street with the oak trees swaying over the street, it's so shady everyday all day. Up sunshine Dr, to the lake with all the white birds to feed.

(on my treadmill) I imagine the most adventurous route, firstly i run to america and meet up with good old Forest Gump and do a few miles with him. Then i run through to china and pick up jackie chan after his tai chi class and anxiously try to race him threw the great wall. After i successfully win,I arrive in Paris in the autumn fashion week and find myself lost in the line of a Victoria Secret Fashion show, in front of me is Adriana Lima and behind me is Gisele Bundchen. After my cue, I with great confidence walked the runway in style wearing nothing but a hot pink training bra and shorts. Shortly after I appear in the Olympics representing Autralia running with legendary Cathy freeman as i take first and she take second. We made our way home back in Sydney with pride and glory and I being dragged back to reality by a pinch from my mother.

Since we live isolated from the city...the mountains are right in my backyard... i love all the rugged-ness and how i sometimes don't know where the trail leads to. It builds up suspense and eagerness to get to the top. Once im there i can see our little city and its lights. If you go out and just watch the sunset...its breath taking.

My favorite route was when i lived in chicago, there was a beach that an old friend took me to when i first moved there. It was so secluded, except for the stadium that was near the beach where Def Lepperd was preforming. After that night, the place became my sanctuary when the city was to insane for me. I would put my ipod on and just jog till i got to the shed aquarium and then i would turn the ipod down low and just listen to the fading city noise as i jogged further and further away. Once i would get to the beach i would sit far back from the water on a little hill and take in the view. It was the best way to drain out all the stress of school and people. Now i am back in the suburbs of Ohio and there is no wonderful beach to jog to, my neighborhood is a fine substitute. It is like the neighborhoods you see in the 50's. Everyone is friendly and all the lawn are perfectly green in the spring and almost every home has a tree that blooms little white flowers. The routes in my neighborhood are unlimited because of how big it is. You can change up the route when the other one gets dull. When it comes to going out for a nice jog, all i need is my ipod and running companion (my dog) and i can go forever, until she tugs me over to a tree to relieve herself.

Falmouth road race route on Cape Cod MA: your feet start padding down the town's quaint streets then you see the glimmering Atlantic, from there it's coastline and close to the end of the 5k see a whitehouse at the top of the hill - sort of urging you to push it till the end :)
