Can a silly website stop a celebrity fashion fad?
Let us discuss the joys of Tights Are Not Pants, an online campaign created to end the loose-legged style of Lindsay, Sienna, and other <i>Nylon</i> cover girls who are otherwise flawless:
1. The campaign was created by a normal girl, not a denim company or a fundamentalist pants group.
2. The campaign comes complete with graphics that you can download and print out yourself.
3. The campaign is the perfect excuse for you to go out and buy a new pair of Ksubis, because after all, if you're going to celebrate pants above all things, don't you deserve the very cutest kind?

funny as hell and true as hell. the website creator beat me to this idea. and yes its ironic because nylon is read or possibly worshiped? by people who mistake thin polyester nylon tigths for acceptable outerwear. don't deny it.

the girls in the photographs are wearing leotards over their tights. a la dancers. a la edie sedgwick in the 1960s.

a little late, but what if they aren't pants. we are girls (some off us anyway) and we don't have to wear pants if we don't want to. we have tons of alternatives and i'm glad tights is one of them.
redundant but duh! pants aren't tights! they are tights and i'll wear then any way i want to.

i guess the look of a girdle is in and its an excuse for laziness cuz most but not all girls do it as an alternative accessory to their outfits...cute top+tights...blazer,blouse..ima get lazy and just sayyyyyy tights! such creativity...jeeeeez. i dont wanna look like a just got a tummy tuck thanks

Truthfully, the site is not funny at all (at least not to me). I agree w/ Edie it's a free country and we could wear watever we want.
Despite so, in my opinion, I don't like tights and I agree with the site. It's ugly. And ike Edie said, 'it's a free country', we have a right to speak up. If you don't want to read it then just don't.

I disagree with CAMPBELL. Cory Kennedy for sure didn't start this trend. Mary-Kate started wearing tights as pants in February 2005 and Cory Kennedy was esentially a no-one (she had not met Cobra Snake yet) until the summer of 2005. So even if Cory did, in fact, wear tights before MK, who the hell would have known?

sidenote: on the list of "rules" at 24hourfitness, there is one that says underwear or tights must be worn underneath all workout attire.

yeah this trend was def. started by Edie Sedwick in the 60s bc she was to lazy to change after jazz ballet. it only became a trend because she looked beautiful just wearing tights. if you dont look good in them then dont wear them but if you can pull it off go for it.

i like the tights as pants thing. it's nice. feels comfy and a little lazy, which is once again nice. but yet it's just little different, which is also nice.
